What type of shoes will my dancer need?
BEGINNERS: Simple Beginner Ballet shoes are all thats required for beginners.

ADVANCED: Once the dancer progresses and starts to dance in performances and competitions, traditional Irish Dancing shoes will be required.

ADCRG: In Gaelic- Ard Diploma Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha... Meaning Certified Irish Dance Adjudicator. Before you can take the ADCRG test, you must have passed your TCRG test.

What does Feis, Oireachtas, and Rince na Cruinne mean?
Feis: The basic Irish Dance competition. In the United States, you can find a feis almost every weekend! These are local competitions where all levels of dancers can compete.
Oireachtas: This is a regional competition and dancers must qualify at the local feis to compete. At this regional competition, the top placers can qualify to compete at the World Championships!
Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne: This is the World Championships of Irish Dance. To qualify, dancers must be a top placer at their regional Oireachtas or at the North American Championships.
